Youngsters, who are interested in shooting live quarry, will be able to find out more about behaviour and safety in the field at a BASC event next month.
The ‘Young Shots Etiquette Day’ will be held on 5 September near Ashbourne in Derbyshire.
The day will start in the classroom covering theory and modules of the firearms awareness course e.g. gun safety, maintenance, gun fit etc. The young shots will then take part in a simulated game shoot.
The event, which costs £50, is suitable for youngsters 13-17 years who have attended a Young Shots ‘Introductory Day’.
