After a season’s beating on the Whittington Lodge Farm shoot, as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, Alyssia, 13, cleanly shot her first pheasant on beaters’ day with her dad’s 28 bore. Her younger sister, Charlotte, 11, a junior dog handler, marked and picked the bird with labrador Sumo.
