Jessica is ten years old. She wrote to tell us about her big adventure. Jessica and her dad were by the River Wear, near where they live, picking up plastic bottles, cutting back the hedges and making the paths safer.
When they sat down to have a break, Jessica heard a splash. After looking around, to her delight, she spotted otters in the water! After looking through her binoculars, she saw a young otter eating. It was her first encounter with otters – what a treat! On the way back, she saw a roe deer too.
