BASC urges caution and evidence-based investigation of missing hen harriers

The UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) has expressed its disappointment and concern at the apparent loss of contact with two satellite-tagged hen harrier chicks in Lancashire. BASC is urging all parties to exercise a pragmatic, common sense and evidence-based approach in support of the investigation. Speculation is both unhelpful and may be counterproductive.
