An Airgun Range Day, organised by BASC South East will be held on Sunday 8th September at Iden Ferns Airgun Club near Rye in East Sussex.
The event will provide air rifle enthusiasts with the chance to shoot a variety of targets across the 40 plus lane Hunter Field Target (HFT) layout, which includes targets in woodland, open ground and over water. It is open to all ages (under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) and all abilities will be catered for.
Participants can shoot their own air rifles (under 12ft/lbs. only) or one can be hired for the day at a cost of £10. BASC staff alongside Iden Ferns Airgun Club members will be on hand to provide instruction and support.
Dan Reynolds BASC’s South East regional director said: “We are delighted to be working with Iden Fern Airgun Club to put on an Airgun Range Day. There is a great deal of interest in air rifle shooting in the south east and BASC have a very active airgun membership in the region. This event aims to foster further interest in HFT shooting which has seen an exceptional rise in popularity in recent years.
Iden Ferns Airgun Club is one of the top facilities in the country, with over 40 HFT lanes which cater for novice and experienced shots alike. I would encourage anyone who has an interest in air rifles to come along to the event and experience HFT for themselves.”
The day will start at 10am and cost £7per person. Places are limited so advanced booking is essential.
