The Northern regional office of BASC is back to full strength after recruiting two new members of staff to complete the team.
New North West regional officer Mike Thornley is based in the South Lakes/Ambleside and operations co-ordinator Rachel Hatton is based at the new northern office in Ribchester, Lancashire.
Duncan Thomas, BASC northern director, said: “It has been essential to add to the team to allow us to continue to provide the excellent services to our members based in the north. I am delighted to welcome Mike and Rachel, whose arrival will help us provide even more support and help as we move forward. We now have a great team and with the combined efforts of our superb volunteer team and the generous northern shooting community we can help secure the future of shooting sports.
John Thornley, BASC vice-chairman said: “Our regional teams not only represent shooting interests throughout the region and organise events but they are also our eyes and ears on the ground. Their local knowledge means we are aware of and understand the local concerns and needs of our members.”
