The UK’s largest shooting organisation is laying on four days for Young Shots across the East of England this summer and autumn.
The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) will host Young Shots’ Introductory Days on 24th July in Heacham, Norfolk, and on 1st August at Fennes Shooting School, Bocking, Essex.
The days will give youngsters a taste of different activities including clay pigeon shooting with BASC-accredited coaches and air rifle shooting.
Two Young Shots’ Progression Days – aimed at more experienced Young Shots – will also be hosted by BASC. An Introduction to Deer Management Day will be held on 15th August at Houghton, Norfolk, and a Young Shots’ Simulated Game Day will be held on 24th October at Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.
Simon Reinhold, BASC’s Eastern regional director, said: "It is important that young people who want to learn to shoot are taught to do it safely and correctly. These days provide a number of enjoyable opportunities for young people to learn and build on the basics."
Places cost £25 for the introductory days and £45 for the progression days.
