More than 120 guests, who attended BASC’s end of season dinner dance at an Oxfordshire hotel, raised almost a thousand pounds for the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust.
Guests, who came from across the south east region, enjoyed a three course game dinner which used locally sourced venison and pheasant, in the Spread Eagle Hotel in Thame.
During the evening a raffle and auction took place, with prizes being donated by a number of businesses including Sportfish, the Spread Eagle Hotel, West London Shooting School, the Royal Berkshire Shooting Ground, the Oxford Gun Company, Farols, and the Ditchley Estate.
BASC South East’s regional officer, Jenni Thompson, said: “The dinner dance raised £900 for the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust which is a great achievement and will be very valuable to the trust in this period of economic difficulty.”
