DIARY MARKER: National Taste of Game Week – 15-22 November

Food lovers will be given the chance to win one of two top chefs for the night during National Taste of Game Week (15-22 November 2008).

The chefs – Mark Gough and Mark Gilchrist – have offered to cook a game dinner for the prize winners and their friends at their homes.

National Taste of Game Week is part of the Game’s On initiative from the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) which aims to encourage more people to enjoy British game.

We can offer journalists game recipes, hi-res images of game food as well as interviews with regional spokespeople and some of the UK’s top chefs who specialise in game cookery including TV chef Mike Robinson. Mike also runs his own game and wild food cookery school and pub restaurant in Berkshire.

The Game’s On website – www.gameson.org.uk – is packed with information including details of events, activities and where you can buy and eat game.
