Country sports activity days on offer for youngsters and ladies in Wales

Clay shooting, falconry and archery will be just some of the activities on offer at country sports taster events being held for youngsters and women in mid and north Wales this May.

BASC Wales has organised an activity day for ladies on Saturday 9 May at the Mid Wales Shooting Centre, Ffinnant, Trefeglwys, Powys. Activities will include clay target shooting, falconry, air rifle target shooting, archery and also a gundog display. The day costs £35 per person and includes tea and coffee on arrival, a two course lunch and afternoon tea.

On Saturday 16 May, Myddelton Estates at Chirk Castle will host a Young Shots activity day while another event for Young Shots will be held on Thursday 28 May at the Griffin Lloyd Shooting Ground, Griffin Lloyd Farm, Llangunllo, near Knighton, Powys. Activities for both events will include clay target shooting, falconry, air rifle target shooting and gamekeeping and gundog displays. The activity days cost £15 per Young Shot.
