Former Coronation Street star Charlie Lawson has given his support to BASC and called on people who shoot to join the organisation.
The actor, who played Jim McDonald in the soap, was speaking at a free game tasting event at the farm shop he runs with his partner Debbie Stanley in Prestbury Village, Cheshire.
He praised BASC’s insurance package and also called on people to encourage friends who want to get into shooting to join BASC.
Charlie is a longstanding member of BASC and a keen game shot and deer stalker. Visitors to the shop got to try a taste of game meat including pheasant, partridge and venison which had been shot and barbecued by Charlie.
