BASC South East and Chudleys dog food recently sponsored the Utility Gundog Societies ‘All Aged Final’ field trial on Monday 30th December 2013. The event, which was held at Orsett, Essex by kind permission of Mr M Polley, was organised by the Kent and East Sussex branch of the UGS.During 2013, the four branches that make up the UGS each ran a separate all aged stake. The top three place dogs from each of the four stakes then qualified to run in the final, along with last year’s winner.

Despite the wet and windy conditions, both the guns and dogs performed well, with the gallery witnessing some excellent shooting and dog work. After the event, everyone returned to the warmth of the shoot lodge, where upon the presentations took place.

Our congratulations go to all of the competitors who managed to qualify for the event. In particularly to the winner and others who were lucky enough to receive silver wear, which in some cases dated back to the clubs formation circa 1928. Tradition indeed!
