Visitors to this year’s Royal Welsh Agricultural Show will be able to get advice and assistance on firearms licensing issues from BASC Wales and Dyfed Powys Police.
Firearms enquiry officers from the force and representatives from the UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), will be at BASC’s stand for the duration of the show, which will be held at Builth Wells, Powys, from July 18th – 21st.
Dyfed Powys Police’s head of firearms and explosives licensing Helen Rees said: "As in previous years the team will be available to give advice and assistance to anyone on firearms licensing issues such as new applications, renewal and variation of certificates. "Previous attendance at this event with BASC has been very well received and we value the opportunity to engage with our customers through BASC at events like this. Face-to-face contact helps to improve customer relationships, ensuring we deliver the best possible service we can. We are unable to process any applications during the event and these must be sent to us in the normal way."
Meurig Rees, from BASC Wales, said: “BASC Wales has a good working relationship with Helen Rees and her staff at Dyfed Powys Police. Having the local police firearms team on our stand allows visitors to discuss issues relating to firearms licensing.”
