Sporting shooters who attend rifle courses run by BASC South East in 2009 will get the chance to use some top of the range rifle scopes and binoculars thanks to a new partnership between BASC and Swarovski Optik.
The Austrian manufacturer has generously loaned BASC’s south east region several rifle scopes and binoculars which will be available for people to use on their rifle and Deer Stalking Certificate (DSC) courses next year.
BASC South East will be hosting six pre-DSC1 days, four DSC1 courses, three firearms awareness days and a mix of sporting rifle modules in 2009.
BASC’s regional director for the south east, David Knowles, said: “I am delighted that BASC and Swarovski will be working together to provide courses of a very high standard using very high quality optical equipment.”
All equipment and rifles can be provided but those with a valid firearms certificate can bring their own rifle.
For further information on the courses available please telephone 01244 573018 or email shootingstandardsdept@0ld.basc.org.uk.
