The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) will sponsor the England team in this year’s World Hunter Field Target Association (WHFTA) championships.
The WHFTA, in collaboration with Countryman Fairs, will host the championships at Kelmarsh Country Fair at Kelmarsh Hall, Northamptonshire, on 4th and 5th April.
Hunter field target shooting is an air rifle target shooting and hunting practice airgunning discipline.
The six strong England team will be kitted out, thanks to BASC, with black polo t-shirts, red polo t-shirts, blue polo t-shirts and black ‘hoody’ style tops, all sporting the BASC logo.
David Ilsley from BASC said: “BASC has always believed that airgun sports are fundamentally important to shooting and would encourage airgunners to join a club and take up hunter field target shooting. We are very happy that we can support the England hunter field target team in their bid to secure their place as world champions.”
Pete Dutton from the England team said: “This year sees the inclusion of the international team category at the WHFTA championships.
“Team England are looking forward to the challenge and opportunity to become the first ever world hunter field target champions. We will all wear our BASC Team England kit with pride.”
