The UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) will be out and about in November, hosting roadshows in Harrogate, Yorkshire on Friday 12th November and Spalding, Lincolnshire on Thursday 18th November.
Both events offer a great night out with game preparation and cookery demonstrations. The Lincolnshire roadshow at the Springfields Event Centre in Spalding, will feature TV chef Rachel Green and a “Taste of Lincolnshire” food hall.
The Yorkshire roadshow, at the Pavilions in the Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate will showcase cookery by Simon Crannage, chef at the Swinton Park estate. There will also be deer preparation demonstrations.
Both events will feature Bill Harriman, BASC director of firearms and BBC Antiques Roadshow expert who will be offering a free opinion and valuation service for guns and historical shooting equipment. Fox shooting expert and author Robert Bucknell will also be at both events.
There will be trade stands with plenty of shopping opportunities and a licensed bar at both venues. People will be able to try the latest in computerised shooting simulators and talk to BASC staff for help and advice on everything to do with shooting and gundogs.
The Yorkshire show will feature countryman, author and broadcaster Sir Johnny Scott promoting his new book “A Book of Britain” and there will be a deer trophy measuring service available on the night.
