BASC and ACPO team up to produce new guide to VCR Act

A new guide to the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 has been produced by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) in partnership with the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO).

The guide is particularly aimed at police licensing staff, firearms dealers, sporting gun owners and collectors to help them understand this Act, whether in relation to work or sporting activities.

BASC has also worked with partner shooting organisations, the Home Office, HM Revenue & Customs and the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform to ensure that the guide provides accurate and helpful advice to those who need it.

The guide covers sections 31-40 of the Act which includes the new regulations relating to airguns and registered firearms dealers.
