BASC will once again have a presence at Countryman Fairs’ Midland Game and Country Fair, which will be held at Weston Park in Shropshire on 14th and 15th September.
Visitors to the BASC stand will be able to get information and advice on membership services, firearms, gamekeeping, gundogs, deer management, conservation, wildfowling and pigeon shooting.
Members of BASC’s firearms team will be joined by staff from the local police firearms licensing team who will be able to provide additional advice and services.
In the Game Cookery Theatre our Taste of Game chefs will be showing off their skills and cooking a variety of game dishes.
BASC will again host a large area within the main stand where visitors can come in and enjoy a tea or coffee served by the Dove Valley Gundog Club. Also present on the stand will be a gunsmith, knife maker, ferreting display and a wildlife artist.
BASC Central director Lewis Thornley said: “We always look forward to seeing our members at the Midland. We have an action packed presence at the fair with something for all the family to see and do. The main stand will be full of interesting displays so please do call in and see us. The Midland is the last big fair of the year so it is a great place to catch up with friends before the season and pick up any last minute essentials.”
BASC-accredited shotgun coaches will be giving lessons throughout the two days on the coaching line and there will also be a BASC airgun coaching stand where people can try airgun shooting under the expert tuition of qualified coaches.
The final of the BASC Scurry League, sponsored by Skinners, will be held on Saturday 14th September at the fair to decide the 2019 BASC Scurry League Champion.
This year will also see the BASC Gundogs Pair Test on Sunday 15th September taking place in the BASC Gundog Arena, which is open to all recognised gundog breeds. Entrants will need to pre-book places in the test before the show. To download an entry form for the gundog test, click here or contact the BASC gundog team on 01244 573 019.
