Skinner’s Pet Foods have signed a contract to sponsor BASC’s gundog programme for the next four years.
The deal will help to further develop BASC’s gundog programme and Skinner’s will provide prizes at BASC gundog events, including at BASC Scurry League heats. Skinner’s representatives will be on the BASC stand at various shows for advice, and members will be able to seek friendly and helpful advice from their canine nutritionists.
Many of the Skinner’s staff are owners of working dogs and gundogs, with a firm knowledge on the work that BASC does; along with an awareness of the importance of a trained, competent, well-nourished gundog.
BASC’s gundog officer Kate Dymock said: “We are delighted to have Skinner’s on board. Skinner’s sponsorship is helping to deliver quality advice to our members and to enhance our thriving gundog programme.
“Our dogs make an enormous contribution to our shooting, so it is vital that their nutritional needs are met, and Skinners will help with that. Our members will benefit from getting the best advice on how to feed their dogs, whether they are full-time working dogs, occasional shooting companions or even family pets.”
William Delamore, sales and marketing director at Skinner’s, said: “I am a member of BASC myself and I admire the work and services they provide. This is a great opportunity for Skinner’s to increase our brand awareness with the thousands of BASC members that own dogs. The scurry leagues are always well supported and provide great entertainment and competition.”
