Young Shots Events
The hope of catching a trout must have been on the minds of the 45 young enthusiasts who attended our day at the beautiful grounds of Lakeside Sporting Fishery in Wymeswold
near Loughborough in April. Samson the Harris Hawk graced 45 wrists throughout the hot and sunny day and we were delighted that Merlin Archery Centre supported the day bringing a new discipline to the Midland Region. Air rifles and clay shooting were also included.
Just a few more days to go to our ‘Introduction to Sporting Rifles’ day for those between (13 – 18 yrs) taking place on a military approved range in Derbyshire on 16th July. Phone Liz for details.
The day in Shropshire on 6th August includes a walk around the game farm where pheasants and partridges have been reared in the traditional manner. Falconry, archery, working gundogs and clay shooting will also form part of this action packed day. Book early to avoid disappointment.
Next is a YS day with a difference at Riseholme College in Lincolnshire as it will feature many traditional countryside skills and crafts such as dry stone walling and hedge laying as well as clay shooting, archery, fly fishing and many more.
All activities subject to coach availability and weather permitting.
