BASC Wales open evenings

BASC Wales is to hold open evenings in March and April.  The first will be on 13th March in Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire and the second on 10th April in Usk, Gwent.

Featured speakers will include Bill Harriman, BASC director of firearms and BBC Antiques Roadshow expert. Other BASC experts will include Ian Danby, head of biodiversity projects, who will be talking about the Green Shoots mapping project; a unique online mapping system which will transform shooting’s contribution to conservation.

David Ilsley, BASC head of membership marketing, will give a short presentation on how BASC is working to improve its membership package for individuals, clubs and syndicates. Owen Williams of the Woodcock Network, which works with shooting and conservation organisations to ring woodcock and improve our knowledge of the bird, will also be there.

The first event will be held at the Emlyn Arms Hotel, Bridge Street, Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire on 13th March. Doors will open at 7pm and a bar will be available. The evening will be open to both BASC members and non-members. A second evening will be held on Wednesday 10th April at the Three Salmons Hotel, Usk, Gwent.
