Fun for all the family is promised on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of April at Catton Park, Walton on Trent, Derbyshire with a two-day game and country fair organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).
Visitors to the BASC Gamekeepers’ Fair can enjoy arena and cookery demonstrations with TV chef Tim Maddams and Midlands game chef and restaurateur Ralph Skripek, shop at more than 200 quality trade stands, browse the craft and antique marquees and sample some wonderful food in the food hall or on the delicious menu at The Keepers’ Arms Bar and Bistro.
The fair offers something for all ages, BASC-accredited shotgun coaches will be available for one-on-one clay shooting lessons. The Kids’ Zone will include countryside learning, go-karting, pony rides and supervised bushcraft activities.
People will have the chance to see working gundogs in action in the BASC & Chudleys Scurry League competition and in arena demonstrations. There will also be open clay shooting contests and a national clay shoot for gamekeepers.
The fair will be open from 9am until 5pm on both days and experts from BASC will be on hand to answer questions on all aspects of shooting and conservation. For more details click here
