Lesley is a founder member and leader of the Scottish Ladies Shooting Club which was set up in November 2013 to promote and encourage women into shooting. I have only been involved for about the last 9 months but in that time have been made to feel so welcome in the group, which covers a wide range of ages and shooting experience, by Lesley and the other members. Based on experiences with them I have been at my first ever game shoot as a Gun, having only shot clays before. I would never have had the confidence to do that without having met Lesley and her now large and expanding group.
The effort she puts into organising clay days, sim game and live game shoots is tremendous with at least one event per month but often two or three, at affordable prices too. We also went along to support Auchterhouse Ladies charity fundraising day earlier this month too, with two teams entering the Bollywood spirit of the event!
