BASC members will receive complimentary entry to The Game Fair for each of the next three years.
Following the success of this year’s event, when 28,000 BASC members attended Hatfield House, a similar arrangement will provide members with complimentary admission and reduced admission for their guests until 2020.
James Gower, managing director of The Game Fair, said: “We were delighted with the turn out from BASC members at this year’s event after we worked extremely hard to ensure the biggest rural show of the year connected with its core audience in the shooting world.
“The feedback from guests and exhibitors was excellent. With the help of BASC members taking up this fantastic offer, we are confident The Game Fair will go from strength to strength over the next three years. Many of our gun traders reported record sales this year which must have been influenced by this fantastic audience.
“The complimentary offer is open to BASC members for each day of the next three Game Fairs, starting at our Diamond Jubilee event at Ragley Hall in 2018.”
BASC chairman Peter Glenser said: “We were thrilled that so many of our members took up the offer in 2017 and expect this fantastic offer will be just as well received in each of the next three years.
“The Game Fair is the highlight of the summer show season and provides a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and celebrate everything that is good about rural sports in the British countryside.
“We firmly believe that BASC’s membership already provides value for money. But this exceptional offer from The Game Fair is another good reason to be a member of the UK’s largest shooting organisation.”
Next year sees the 60th running of The Game Fair which will return to Ragley Hall in Warwickshire for the celebration of its Diamond Jubilee (Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July). This will be the fourth time the event has been held at the beautiful estate of Lord Hertford. The event will head back to Hatfield House in 2019 then return to Ragley in 2020.
The Game Fair is the annual gathering for people passionate about countryside pursuits, and the great British countryside in all its glory. It offers visitors the opportunity to try shooting, angling and tour the biggest group of fieldsports-related stands and businesses brought together in one place in the UK.
BASC’s stand in Gunmakers’ Row will be co-located with The Game Fair cookery theatre (The Field Kitchen Theatre) and will celebrate game as food and the full range of shooting and conservation activities.
BASC will hold gundog scurries which will give competitors a chance to win prizes on each day.
BASC coaches will be available for those wishing to shoot on the airgun range and The Subaru Shooting line.
To gain complimentary admission, BASC members simply need to produce a current membership card, a ticket that will be mailed to all members and photo ID. Guest tickets will be available to BASC members at a reduced rate.
