Find wildfowling opportunities in updated BASC guide

BASC members can download the latest edition of the association’s wildfowling permit scheme booklet ahead of the start of the season on Friday (1st September).

Affiliated wildfowling clubs and other organisations provide information for the booklet, which explains how to obtain wildfowling permits in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Permits are offered by many BASC-affiliated wildfowling clubs, local authorities and other organisations.

Mark Greenhough, BASC’s wildfowling officer, said: “This booklet contains details of the scheme, which is designed for those new to wildfowling and experienced wildfowlers alike.

“If you would like to try wildfowling for the first time, or in a new area, then this booklet will give you the necessary information, including contact details for individual representatives of the relevant organisation.

“Also contained in the booklet are informative sections on wildfowling and the law, fieldcraft, the legal restrictions on lead shot, the various alternatives to lead shot and further sources of wildfowling-related information. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the participating clubs for their continued support.”

John Dryden, a member of BASC council and Chairman of BASC’s Wildfowling Liaison Committee, said: “This booklet is a pathway to enduring friendships and exciting experiences.”

The booklet is available to download here.
