More than 1,200 people introduced to sporting shooting by BASC at SE shows

BASC introduced more than 1,200 people to sporting shooting on its coaching lines at two Countryman Fairs events in the South East of England.

BASC hosted introductions to airgun and shotgun shooting at Countryman Fairs’ Broadlands Country Show and Highclere Country Show.

Visitors to the BASC stand included existing and new members from across the region who were able to meet the South East team, discuss issues from firearms licencing to gundog insurance and meet members of the Langstone and District Wildfowling Club and ‘Cornish Countryman’ Chris Green, who also entertained the crowds in the events’ main arenas.

Michelle Nudds from BASC South East said: “What a great start to the show season here in the South East. It was great to meet so many new people who are interested in learning about the work we do and trying their hand at airgun and clay shooting under the guidance of our accredited coaches.

“It was great having some of our dedicated volunteers on the stand assisting with queries and discussing the benefits of being a BASC member to people who visited the stand.”
