People are being asked to nominate BASC-accredited shotgun coaches for a new award.
The first ever BASC-accredited shotgun coach of the year award will be presented at this year’s Midland Game Fair in September.
The winner will be awarded with a perpetual shield during a ceremony at the BASC coaching line at the show.
Anyone can nominate and nominations can be made for any of the following reasons:
*Special contribution,
*Development of a person who shoots or a Young Shot,
*Volunteering services,
*Long standing service,
*Best newcomer.
Jane Hatton from BASC’s sporting services team said: “This is a great opportunity for us to recognise the fantastic work of our shotgun coaches, either for the volunteer work they do directly for BASC or for supporting shooting through the work they do outside of this.”
Duncan Greaves, a member of BASC Council, said: “I would urge everyone to register a vote in this new initiative. This is your chance to reward a BASC shotgun coach as recognition for their hard work and dedication.”
The deadline is 31st July 2017. A panel will judge the winner who will be informed prior to The Midland Game Fair and invited to attend the presentation.
