BASC at the Highclere Country Show

BASC will have a presence at Countryman Fairs’ Highclere Country Show.

The show will be held on in the grounds of Highclere Castle on 28th and 29th May.

Visitors to the BASC stand will be able to get information and advice on game and deer management, firearms and membership services. The stand will also feature members of the Langstone and District Wildfowling Club and Cornish Countryman Chris Green who will also be appearing in the main arena.

Regional representatives of BASC Ladies Shooting will also be on hand to answer questions and sign up any new members.

Michelle Nudds from BASC South East said: “We are delighted to be attending the show at Highclere where we have the opportunity to meet our members from across the South East. We will be able to help them with advice on things such as firearms licensing, gundog training, deer stalking courses and much more. It is also a great opportunity to promote the work of BASC such as our Young Shots events, Green Shoots Mapping and the promotion of game meat.”

Clay shooters will go head to head in the BASC National Clay Shooting Competition, which is being held as part of a Clay Shooting Festival hosted by BASC and Countryman Fairs at each of Countryman Fairs’ shows in 2017. Prizes will be up for grabs each day for the top shots and at each shoot, winners in each class will qualify for a place in the Grand Final at the Midland Game Fair in September.

BASC-accredited coaches will be giving coaching lessons throughout the two days on the coaching line, plus new for this year will be the BASC airgun coaching stand where people can try airgun shooting under the expert tuition of qualified airgun coaches.
