BASC starts 2017 with rise in membership

BASC’s membership grew again in 2016 to more than 148,000.

Peter Glenser, BASC chairman, said: “I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new members.

“We are delighted that the BASC family has continued to grow, this underlines the strength of an association which holds the values of sporting shooting close to its heart and the best interests of our members at its very core.”

David Ilsley, head of marketing and membership services at BASC, said: “We know that our members place huge value on the comprehensive range of membership services that BASC provides.

“BASC does the job for shooting. Our primary purpose as an association is to promote and defend shooting and we pursue this with an uncompromising passion and commitment.

“Bringing so many people together for shooting means that we have the strength in numbers to do the job, whether with government, the media or when working with the many interests involved in shooting.”

Peter Glenser said: “We hope to see many of our members at this year’s Game Fair.”

In 2017 The Game Fair is offering complimentary admission to all BASC members irrespective of when they joined.
