BASC has given away two pairs of Bauer binoculars in a draw of their members who use Green Shoots Mapping.
The Get a Mate Mapping initiative encourages members to introduce a friend to Green Shoots Mapping, an online mapping, wildlife recording and shooting diary which enables members to assist in protecting and promoting shooting and conservation.
By observing the wildlife, members can provide BASC with evidence to show government, the media and the public that shooting makes a huge contribution to conservation and a healthy environment.
Ian Danby, BASC’s head of biodiversity projects, said: “Green Shoots Mapping is an excellent service to our members giving a really powerful tool to help themselves and protect the sport. It is easy to use and free to BASC members.”
Mr Leighton Dutton and James Patterson were the lucky winners following October’s draw.
Leighton Dutton said: “I have found green shoots mapping to be an excellent tool and the whole set up to be brilliant. You can tell it was set up by someone who really cares about shooting and conservation.”
Robin Marshall-Ball, BASC council member, said: “Our Green Shoots programme is well recognised by government and partners and Green Shoots Mapping is one easy way that all members can contribute to its continued success.”
The promotion is open to any BASC member who introduces another member to Green Shoots Mapping and this year the prizes are two pairs of Bauer 8*32 HD binoculars.
