Still time to enter the BASC Chudleys Scurry League 2016

The final qualifying round of this year’s competition will take place at the Frampton Country Fair in Gloucestershire on 11th September.

Qualifiers have been held around the country throughout this year.

The top 20 dogs overall in the competiton will be invited to take part in a grand final, which will be held at The Big Gundog Weekend, Betley, Cheshire, on 24th September.

All finalists will receive commemorative game bags, personalised trophies and a gundog training vest.

Matt Dutton, BASC’s game and gamekeeping officer, said: “The BASC Chudleys Scurry League has been growing in popularity year by year. In 2015, we had more than 1,300 participants. This year, our qualifiers have seen very strong attendance, even in rain or snow.”

Ian Grindy, who is a member of BASC Council and chairman of BASC’s game and gamekeeping committee, said: “As the UK’s largest shooting organisation, BASC embraces all aspects of field sports. The co-operation between dog and owner is vital in many of these pursuits, and we know members will relish the chance to show off their teamwork.”
