BASC will have a major presence at the Game Fair at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire from July 29 – 31.
The association will have a stand on Gun Makers’ Row, where expert staff will be on hand for the duration of the event. The stand will include sections on conservation and firearms.
There will also be a game and deer management section, including a trophy measuring service.
A wildfowling section will feature a display of vintage wildfowling pieces and members of the Spalding and District Wildfowlers Association will be on hand to offer advice and information.
There will be Taste of Game cookery demonstrations throughout each day.
The Wildlife Habitat Trust will launch its 2016 fundraising stamp, Pintail on the Dee by Alastair Proud at 11.30am on Friday 29th July.
Copies of BASC vice chairman John Thornley’s new book, Fallow Stalking, will be on available to buy and he will be signing copies on Friday 29th between 2.30pm and 4pm and on Saturday 30th between 10am and 11.30am.
BASC’s membership team will be on hand to recruit new members and renew existing memberships. Members of the BASC Ladies Shooting Group will be on hand with information about courses and events and will host prize draws and competitions.
Pigeon expert and ‘Cornish Countryman’ Chris Green will also be there to provide advice and expertise.
BASC will run a shotgun coaching line where our high quality coaching team, sponsored by Eley, Browning and Promatic, will offer expert tuition and advice. Game fair visitors can try shooting for the first time or sharpen up their skills.
There will also be gundog scurries sponsored by Chudleys which are qualifiers for BASC’s scurry league competition.
BASC chairman Peter Glenser said: “The Game Fair is the number one outdoor shooting event in the UK and BASC are delighted to continue to be a part of it.
“Our shotgun coaches will be overseeing a mammoth shooting line and we invite anyone to take part regardless of skill or experience.”
BASC England director Steve Bloomfield said: “It manages to be an incredible event year after year, so I expect this month’s fair to be no different. The Game Fair is one of the highlights of the summer show season.”
