BASC announce date for 2016 wildfowling conference

PrintBASC’s Wildfowling Conference 2016 will be held on Saturday, March 12 at the Ramada Hotel, Sutton Coldfield.

The national conference gives wildfowlers the opportunity to learn more about issues affecting them and to meet other wildfowlers to discuss the sport.

The event covers UK and international topics, including the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement (AEWA), climate change impact on waterfowl and current issues relating to firearms ownership and what BASC is doing to help.

In addition, two BASC-affiliated wildfowling clubs will discuss their work with local conservation initiatives and the development of land-purchase and management strategies.

The BASC wildfowling team will be there to provide help during the day, with wildfowling officer Mark Greenhough and rural land development manager Paul Williamson on hand to answer questions.
