The show will be held from 20th – 23rd July at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, Powys.

Visitors to the Royal Welsh will have a chance to use BASC’s ST-2 Shooting Simulator – the most realistic on the market. Beginners can use the simulator to try shotgun shooting and more experienced people can use it to improve their shooting.

The BASC stand will be situated in the Countryside Care area and will feature displays from the association’s Game and Deer Management Department.

Gary Ashton, director of BASC Wales, said: “As well as its principal function of showcasing the cream of Welsh livestock and the high quality food and drink produced in Wales, the Royal Welsh encompasses the wider spectrum of farming and rural life and successfully bridges the gap between town and country.

“Shooting influences the management of around 380,000 hectares of land in Wales and at least 76,000 people in the country shoot live quarry, clay pigeons or targets. The Royal Welsh gives us a platform to showcase the work that we do in Wales and highlight the importance of shooting to the countryside in Wales and the people of Wales.”
