Simulated shooting with BASC at Suffolk gun shop

Forelock and Load 1Visitors to a Bury St Edmunds gun shop will have a chance to use BASC’s ST-2 Shooting Simulator – the most realistic on the market.

The simulator will be at Forelock and Load, IP29 5AX, from the 1st – 6th September.

Beginners can use the simulator to try shotgun shooting and more experienced people can use it to improve their shooting. BASC-accredited shotgun coaches will be on hand to offer expert advice and tuition.

BASC’s director of Sporting Services, Gary Ashton, said: “This is a great opportunity for newcomers to be introduced to the sport in a safe and professional manner. It also provides a unique opportunity for experienced shots to analyse their shooting and find those faults.

“Come along and experience the simulator for yourself or have an interactive lesson with the BASC coaches who will be on hand all week. For those of you thinking of buying a shotgun, there will be the option of trying the gun on the simulator before you buy. Just for a bit of fun there will also be a 20 bird Grouse Challenge competition with a selection of prizes for the best performers.”
Ben Baghdadi from Forelock and Load said: “We are really excited to have the ST-2 Simulator coming into the shop and with the great guidance of the BASC coaches.
As we all know most, if not all, guns seem to fit while in the shop. But do they really? This system will provide people a great chance to find out if the gun they are looking at is actually the best for them and their style of shooting.
Add to this the chance to iron out any technical faults/bad habits in a relaxed environment and we are looking at a hugely beneficial week. After all….we would all like to get invited back to “that day” next season.”

A percentage of the proceeds will be given to local charities.
