Women to improve their shooting skills with state-of-the-art simulator

Women from across Northern Ireland will have the chance to sharpen their shooting skills with the same state-of-the-art simulator that the Russian Olympic shooting team used in training ahead of the Beijing Games.

The Marksman ST-2 simulator will be available to use at the British Association for Shooting and Conservation’s (BASC) ladies’ activity day which is being held on 07 February at the Field of Dreams centre in Bangor.

Other activities on the day include shotgun coaching lessons from BASC coaches, archery, air rifle shooting, fly casting and ATV driving. The day costs £40 including lunch.

BASC Northern Ireland’s development officer, Amanda McCallion, said: “Our ladies’ events have proved increasing popular over the last few years and demand continues to be high for opportunities for women to try their hand at or improve their shooting skills. We are delighted to have the new Marksman ST-2 simulator available for the first time which can be used by new and experienced shooters.”
