Wildfowlers are being reminded to apply for their Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve seasonal wildfowling permits as early as possible.
Applications should be sent no earlier than 1st August but no later than 21st August to ensure they are processed in time for the start of the wildfowling season on 1st September. Applications received after that date will be processed as quickly as possible
An application form is available to download from the BASC website, www.0ld.basc.org.uk, on the northern region page. Forms can also be obtained from Jean Pugh on 01200 445046. The cost of a permit for the 2011/12 season is £57.
