Taste of Game events in the South East

BASC has announced three venues for Taste of Game events in the South East.
In East Sussex an event is being held at the 16th century Griffin Inn, Fletching, near Uckfield on the 16th November. Diners will be able to enjoy a three course meal including game courses plus coffee for £30 per head.

On the 22nd November BASC’s Taste of Game comes to the Red Lion Inn in Ashington near Pulborough in West Sussex. Diners and drinkers will have the opportunity to sample a wide choice of canapés made from game.  The selection will include grilled pigeon breast with black pudding mash, venison medallions, pheasant with apple, cider, sage & cream sauce, wild boar sausages, pigeon & duck skewers and grilled partridge with sweet and sour limes & glass noodles. Participation is free and there is no need to book.
On both the 23rd and 24th November the Hinton Arms at Hinton Ampner, Alresford in Hampshire is the venue where diners will be able to enjoy a wide variety of game dishes.  For £25 per head guests will be served a starter and to follow they will be able to choose from a buffet selection of different game dishes, allowing them to try a bit of everything. The pub itself contains an interesting collection of shooting memorabilia making it a perfect venue for the Taste of Game evenings.

BASC South East regional director, Dan Reynolds will be on hand at all of the events to answer questions about the work of BASC and to highlight the importance of promoting game as a quality local food.  Dan Reynolds said “We have been able to choose three outstanding venues for our BASC Taste of Game Season events. Each evening promises something special and we look forward to seeing our members and supporters there.”
