New location for Wales and Border Counties Game and Country Fair

The BASC Wales and Border Counties Game and Country Fair will be moving location this year to Glanusk Park near Crickhowell.

Glanusk Park, which is situated within the Brecon Beacons national park, is one of the largest privately owned estates in Wales. Set on the banks of the river Usk, the estate offers plenty of scope to present a full weekend of countryside activities and interest.

Visitors to the fair on 6-7 June will be able to have a go at a sporting clay shoot, muzzle loading shotguns, archery and air rifles as well as sessions with the BASC shotgun coaching team. Anglers will also be well catered for with fly casting instruction and displays by the local angling associations. A wide range of quality trade stands will complement displays of falconry by Jemima Parry Jones MBE, ferrets with James McKay, hounds and gundogs.

Glanusk Park is easily reached by car via Crickhowell (postcode: NP8 1LP). Admission is £9 for adults, £4 for children with under-fives free. Car parking is free.
