A number of events have been planned by BASC for young shots in Northern Ireland over the next few months.

The first event on offer is an excursion to Wigtown in Scotland on 22 August. Youngsters can try clay pigeon shooting, air rifle shooting and fly casting as well as getting important safety instruction and shotgun tuition from expert coaches. The excursion costs £30 including ferry travel and lunch.

There are also two Young Shot events planned for the autumn:

• 5 September – Hunter West Shooting School near Omagh

The range of activities on offer will include air rifles, archery, fly casting and gundog demonstrations. Activities will vary for each event.
