In response to the growing number of questions asked about young people and shotgun certificates the BASC Midland team hosted a day for Journalists at Doveridge Clay Sports Club.
BBC Radio, BBC Midlands Today television and several newspaper journalists were given clay shooting instruction from BASC qualified coaches to demonstrate how Young Shots are trained. In addition to this, five of the Midlands most promising young Olympic hopefuls attended to demonstrate their ability and give interviews.
After a lunch break the BASC team put on show the state-of-the-art ST-2 Marksman shooting simulator which is being used by some European countries to help their shooting teams in the run-up to the Beijing Olympics.
