Highland adventures for young people.

The UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), is offering young people a chance to spend three days on a Highland estate, taking part in a wide range of country pursuits.

BASC will host two residential courses for people aged between 12 and 18-years-old at Bruar Lodge, on the Atholl Estate in Highland Perthshire, in July.

Participants will be able to spend their time in the hills finding out about deer stalking and grouse management; fish in the loch and river and shoot with shotguns and air rifles.
There will be chances to learn about trapping and snaring, as well as all aspects of safe gun handling.

A course for 12–14-year-olds will be held between the 10th and 13th July and a course for 15–18-year-olds will run from the 13th–16th July.

Accommodation for the three nights will be provided in the lodge and all equipment and meals will provided. The cost is £190 per person. To request an application form, contact BASC Scotland on 01350 723 226 or email scotland@0ld.basc.org.uk
